Ujjwal Datta is currently pursuing his PhD at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia in the Institute of Innovation and Sustainability. The enhancement of power system stability is his main research interest. He has completed M.Sc (Tech) in Electrical Engineering at Tampere University of Technology, Finland, specializing in power system and Smart Grid. He worked as a research assistant in an industrial project with FinGrid Oyj, Finland. He was employed at Hyundai Engineering and Construction Ltd, Korea as an Electrical Engineer at 412 MW CCPP project construction and commissioning during the year of 2011-2013 in Bangladesh. He has completed his B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Stamford University as a second topper in 2009 graduating year in the department.

His research interests are mainly about the dynamic and transient stability studies of power system and FACTS devices. He is also interested in smart grid; electricity generation, demand response and the impact and use of Electric vehicle in power system.  

I do believe, to learn a lesson, I have to fail.
